About The Author

The author

I studied writing at Brown University and I’m the lead guitarist of this rock band. I have the same birthday as Larry Flynt. I like milkshakes more than ice cream. I am the Dungeon Master of a regular Dungeons and Dragons game. If Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr ever fight each other, I’m going to root for Mayweather.

This blog is about those things, and the things in between them.

I began reading your blog with the dread that we all feel now that the whole world is blogging. But I must say, Mr. Anderson, you’ve hit a nerve. Your writing is deft and honest and a pleasure to read. I look forward to frequent visits to your site. You are one of the best reasons I know that those of us who are older need not despair over the future. Bravo, Ivan. More entries, please. More life.

    Hey Rod-
I enjoyed your music and your words VERY much!
    Funny Thing-
I just took my baseball bat out of my trunk last year…
I still have an ice pick in my car door compartment though.

I just stumbled upon your blog- it’s absolutely great!…. Here’s the weird thing- I’m pretty sure you live next door to me…. I’ve chatted with your roommate right outside!….

  5. Yo. Just gave your college application essay- ‘Being fast’- to my team. Loving the blog, hope all is well.
